1. Course Duration and Structure

The DUI School consists of eight (8) hours of educational content.
It typically includes various instructional methods such as lectures, class discussions, in-class exercises, and video presentations.

2. Completion Timeline

Offenders are generally given three to six months to complete the course after their conviction.
The exact duration may vary depending on the judge’s orders and the specifics of each case.

3. Format Options

Participants can choose between completing the DUI School as an online course or attending in-person classes.
Most individuals opt for online courses due to convenience.

4. Additional Programs for High BAC Levels

If an offender has a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.18% or higher, they may also be required to attend the Coroner’s DUI Program.
This program involves viewing graphic images related to drunk driving fatalities but does not include witnessing actual autopsies.

5. Consequences of Non-completion

Failing to complete the DUI School by the deadline can lead to further legal repercussions, including potential jail time of up to six months.
However, judges may grant extensions if notified in advance about difficulties in completing the course.
